The Speaker of the Seimas, Loreta Graužinienė, congratulated the President of the Riigikogu, Eiki Nestor, and all the Estonian people on the Estonian Independence Day.
“The legitimisation of Estonia’s statehood on 24 February 1918 was a significant milestone for Lithuania after its own restoration of an independent state in February 1918. The sense of community we shared as far back as 97 years ago filled us with courage and confidence. I invite us to develop the bilateral relations between our states in the same spirit as we face new challenges of the modern day and age,” writes the Speaker.
Loreta Graužinienė wished Eiki Nestor and the Riigikogu under his leadership every success and productive work, and prosperity to the whole Estonian nation.
