Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, received Peter Gaston Marcella Lescouhier, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Lithuania. The Ambassador arrived to bid farewell before the closing of the Belgian embassy in Lithuania.
The Speaker of the Seimas expressed her gratitude to the Ambassador for his consistent and focused diplomatic service in Lithuania and his personal input in developing the political, economic and cultural relations between Lithuania and Belgium. Further mutual cooperation in different areas was discussed in the meeting.
Mrs Graužinienė wished the Ambassador every success in his further efforts for the benefit of the Kingdom of Belgium.
Mr Lescouhier has resided in Lithuania since August 2012. Once the embassy is closed in the summer of 2015, all Belgian diplomatic and consular matters in Lithuania will be referred to the embassy in Warsaw.
