Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Maria Lohela, the new Speaker of the Eduskunta.
“I am gratified that Lithuania and Finland share excellent relations informed by mutual understanding. We are working closely together not only bilaterally but also on the Nordic–Baltic and EU levels. I am certain that our countries will continue the close parliamentary dialogue and that mutual support will allow us to speak with one voice in the international arena,” the congratulatory letter of the Speaker of the Seimas reads.
Loreta Graužinienė wished the newly elected Speaker of the Parliament of Finland every success and harmony while working in the coalition as well as productivity and creativity in her work.
The parliamentary elections in Finland took place at the end of April.
