On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and her own, Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, has sent the congratulatory letter to Volodymyr Groysman, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as the country celebrates its Independence Day.
“Our nations are bound together by our common past, similar destiny and historical challenges. Today, we take pride in our freedom, national identity that we have preserved, and societies that recognise democratic values. I am confident that we will continue an active dialogue between our Parliaments and find yet more ways of cooperation that would help you defend your independence and build a modern and prosperous European state,” reads the letter by Mrs Graužinienė.
The Speaker of the Seimas has wished success and great resolve in striving for the national welfare and security to the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and unity and prosperity to Ukraine.
