The Speaker of the Seimas pointed out that the visit of the Speaker of the UK House of Commons, John Bercow, to Lithuania in 2013 and the working visit of a delegation led by the Speaker of the Seimas to London in February 2015 have strongly contributed to the strengthening of bilateral parliamentary ties. Loreta Graužinienė was convinced that inter-parliamentary cooperation between Lithuania and the UK would continue to be close and constructive and would, in the future, contribute to the implementation of the common objectives.
The Speaker of the Seimas underlined that Lithuania appreciated good relations with the United Kingdom and was prepared to develop and expand cooperation in various fields.
Prior to her appointment as Ambassador, Claire Lawrence served as Deputy Western Balkans Director and Deputy Director of the EU Development Department, and also worked at the consulate of China, the UK Embassy in Sierra Leone, and the UK Permanent Representation to the EU.
