On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf , Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, expressed her sincere condolences to Ismail Kahraman, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, and the close ones of those killed and injured during the explosion in Ankara.
“We are profoundly shocked by the atrocities that cannot be justified in any way and condemn this act of terror, which involved the loss of so many lives. Terrorism and radicalism must be ultimately curbed. It is our joint responsibility and duty to unite forces to prevent such murderous attacks and ensure one of the most important human rights – the right to live a safe life. We share your grief in this time of bereavement and wish strength to your nation through this very difficult period,” writes the Speaker in her condolence letter.
