On 19 May 2016, Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, sent her condolences, on behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, to the leaders of the parliaments of France and Egypt over the tragic loss of lives of the nationals of these countries in the EgyptAir plane crash.
The Speaker indicated that alongside other countries whose nationals had been on board the EgyptAir plane, Lithuania was deeply moved by the horrible tragedy.
“May I wish immense strength and endurance to all the close ones of those who perished,” the Speaker’s letter of condolence said.
