On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, extended her congratulations to Paul Ryan, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, and the people of his country on Independence Day.
“Since the very adoption of the Declaration of Independence, your country has been an excellent example of the values that should form the basis of the life of a state, demonstrating how significant they are in ensuring global peace and stability,” said the Speaker of the Seimas in the presented letter of congratulation.
Mrs Graužinienė also reaffirmed that Lithuania was a faithful ally of the United States of America. “Our countries are linked by solid ties of friendship and NATO partnership in coping with complex security challenges,” noted the Speaker of the Seimas, who was on her working visit in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore at the time.
