Speaker of the Seimas offered condolences over the disaster in Nice

On 15 July 2016, on behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, offered her sincere condolences to Claude Bartolone, President of the French National Assembly, and Gérard Larcher, President of the French Senate, as well as to the families of the victims killed in the terrorist attack in Nice.  

“We are deeply shocked by the unjustifiable atrocities and condemn this act of terror, which involved the loss of so many lives. Terrorism and radicalism must be ultimately curbed. It is our joint responsibility and duty to unite forces to prevent such murderous attacks and ensure one of the most important human rights – the right to live a safe life,” Mrs Graužinienė said.

The Speaker of the Seimas extended her wishes of strength and endurance to the families of the victims killed.
