Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, sent letters of congratulations, on behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, to Christine Defraigne, Chair of the Senate, and Siegfried Bracke, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Kingdom of Belgium, on the occasion of the Belgian National Day. She wished them and the Belgian Parliament every success and creative endeavours in ensuring prosperity to the people of their country.
“I am happy that Lithuania and Belgium enjoy close and friendly political, economic and cultural relations and cooperation within the EU and NATO. The realities show that it is only through our joint efforts that we will be able to preserve the values we have fostered for so many years and to create Europe that is safe and free,” the letters of congratulations read.
