Ambassador Valeriu Frija informed the Speaker of the Seimas that Moldova successfully coped with a financial and economic crisis while determined actions of the new government brought about positive changes in all spheres; important reforms had been implemented and negotiations with the International Monetary Fund had started. The ambassador expressed his hope that the stabilised situation in the country would earn Moldova’s bigger trust from European partners and that the plan of European integration would be successfully continued.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador handed over to Mrs Loreta Graužinienė an invitation of Andrian Candu, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, to participate in the commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Moldova in Chisinau.
