On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, extended her congratulations to Andrii Parubii, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the people of Ukraine on Independence Day.
“Lithuania and Ukraine are bound together by similar destinies, shared aspirations for freedom, and determination to belong to the European family of nations. Our nations maintain particularly friendly and warm relations. I sincerely believe that your country will succeed in attaining set goals and fulfilling its European integration aspirations,” wrote the Speaker of the Seimas in her letter of congratulation.
Mrs Graužinienė wished the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and the parliament under his leadership every success and productive and creative work as well as prosperity and determination to the Ukrainian nation in building a modern and democratic Ukraine.
