Vydas Gedvilas, Speaker of the Seimas, sent his best greetings to the leaders of both houses of the Irish Parliament: Seán Barrett, Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann, and Paddy Burke, Cathaoirleach Sheanad Éireann, and all the people of the country on the occasion of the National Day.
The Speaker of the Seimas extended to the leaders of the Irish Parliament the wishes of every professional and personal success, efficient and creative work for the House of Representatives and the Senate under their leadership and success in pursuing all the set goals.
“I am convinced that the parliamentary cooperation between the Parliaments of Lithuania and Ireland will continue to be successfully developed, especially since we share a common challenge: the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2013”, stressed the Speaker of the Seimas on the occasion of the Irish National Day.
