Vydas Gedvilas, Speaker of the Seimas, has expressed his condolences to the people of Spain and families of the victims killed in the train accident. The letters of condolence to Pío García-Escudero Márquez, Speaker of the Senate, and Jesús María Posada Moreno, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain, say:
"On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on my own behalf, may I express my deep and heartfelt condolences to you and all the people of Spain on the tragic train accident in Galicia.
Could you please communicate my words, if possible, to the families of the victims killed and my wishes of strength in this hour of loss and grief. I also wish good health and fast recovery to all those injured.
