Biography

Born in Marijampolė on 11 November 1951.
1957–1968 - Marijampolė Secondary School No 3.
1973–1978 - Vilnius Civil Engineering Institute (currently – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University), Faculty of Construction, diploma of Civil Construction Engineer.
1978–1979 - Junior Research Fellow, Lithuanian Construction and Architecture Research Institute.
1979–1985 - Construction Site Manager, later Chief Engineer, Kaunas Construction Plant.
1985–1987 - Vilnius Higher School for Party Studies.
1986–1990 - Deputy Chairman, Executive Committee of Kėdainiai District.
1990–1993 - Governor, Kėdainiai District.
1994–1996 - Governor, AB Ūkio bankas, Kėdainiai Branch.
1996–1997 - Vice-President, Trust Vikonda.
1997–2004 - Member of the Municipal Board, Kėdainiai District, Mayor of Kėdainiai District.

Before 1989 - Member of the CPSU; 2003 – 2006 Member of the Labour Party, Deputy Chairman.
