The participants of the international conference titled The Role of Parliamentarians in Strengthening Democracies in Eastern Europe: on the Road to Democratic Societies of the Parliamentary Forum for Democracy have appealed to Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine, concerning the situation of Yulia Tymoshenko.

Dear Mr Yanukovych,
We, the participants of the forum The Role of Parliamentarians in Strengthening Democracies in Eastern Europe: on the Road to Democratic Societies, are deeply concerned with the state of health of Yulia Tymoshenko, serving a long sentence of imprisonment.
You have the authority to make a decision, based on human considerations, on providing Yulia Tymoschenko with treatment abroad.
We believe that this human action of yours will be positively seen not only in Ukraine but also worldwide.
We believe in your goodwill.
