On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of
Lithuania and her own behalf, Mrs Irena Degutienė, Speaker of the Seimas,
expressed her heartfelt sympathy to the families and relatives of those who
were killed at the metro station in Minsk, as well as to all the people of
Belarus who are mourning for this disaster.
The death of innocent civilians reminds to all
the people of good will of the danger of terrorism in the modern world. We must
seek to prevent similar disasters in future, noted Speaker of the Seimas in
her public statement.
