On 4–6 September 2013, the Seimas will host the Inter-Parliamentary Conference for the Common Foreign and Security Policy and the Common Security and Defence Policy, one of the key events in the framework of the parliamentary dimension of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Baroness Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission; Mr Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Secretary General of NATO; and other high level officials are expected to attend.
