| Statement by Mr Anušauskas, MP: Wikileaks documents do not reflect the actual situation and relations with the Allies

The
documents held by WikiLeaks and
published in The New York Times do not mirror the actual situation and
relations with the Allies, Mr Arvydas Anušauskas, Chairman of the Seimas
Committee on National Security and Defence, states. According to him, the
information is taken out of the context and loaded with personal epithets and
views. Mr Anušauskas asserts that I cannot treat this information in any other
way but inaccurate and distorting the actual situation. I did and do adhere
consistently to the position that no foreign prisoners or prisons can exist in
the Lithuanian territory. It was clearly stated during the parliamentary
investigation a year ago.
