Speaker of the Seimas receives Finnish Foreign Minister, Timo Soini

Loreta Graužinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, met with Timo Soini, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland, who was visiting Lithuania. The meeting mainly focused on bilateral political and economic cooperation and EU’s decisions on ways to tackle the refugee crisis.

The Speaker of the Seimas and the Finnish Foreign Minister unanimously agreed that, given the current geopolitical situation, Finland and Lithuania had to step up their cooperation and share more actively their insights into today’s challenges in Europe.

Mrs Graužinienė also took the opportunity to forward her best regards to the Speaker of the Eduskunta of Finland.
