Biography
Born on 16 February 1935 in the region of Prienai.
1954-1959 graduated from the Department of Electrotechnology at Kaunas Polytechnic Institute (currently - Technological University) as an engineer electrician. 1957-1990 - worked at the Department of Electrification at the Institute of Agricultural Construction Designing, acted as Head of the Department. 1990 - elected Deputy of the Council of the city of Kaunas, member of the Presidium of the Council. 1990-1992 - assistant to a Deputy of the Supreme Council - the Reconstituent Seimas - Česlovas Stankevičius. 1992 - elected member of the Seimas 1989 - joined the Lithuanian Christian Democratic Party, member of the Council of the Party. Speaks English and Russian languages. Married. The family has a son and a daughter. Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Italy. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Canada.
