Biography
Born on 11 August 1940 in Anykščiai region.
In 1958 finished Klaipėda Technical school of Agriculture with honours, worked in agriculture. In 1966 graduated from the Department of Chemistry Worked at Kaunas Institute of Medicine, Inkaras factory. In 1968 - a post-graduate student. Defended her doctors thesis in Riga. Till 1978 worked as research scientific worker at the Institute of Physical Engineering Problems. Later - a docent at Klaipėda Department of Kaunas Polytechnic Institute. In 1994 - Habilit. Doctor of Technical Sciences. Till 1955 - Professor, Head of the Department at Klaipėda University. Participated in the activity of Sąjūdis. Was elected member of the Klaipėda City Council, deputy Mayor of the city of Klaipėda. Reads lectures at Klaipėda University, participates in the work of the International Interparliamentary Environmental Organisation at the European Parliament Globus. Member of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian conservatives) Speaks English and Russian languages. Married. Has a son. Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Austria. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the Czech Republic. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the Knesset of Israel. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the USA.
