Biography
Born on 6 January 1957 in deportation - Tomsk region, into a family of deportees.
In 1975 finished Miroslav secondary school. Studied the Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius University. In 1981 did creative work at the Department of Culture of Alytus region. In 1988 graduated form the Lithuanian State Conservatory (currently - the Music Academy), acquired the specialisation of the manager in the filed of culture and education. In 1990 deputy mayor of the city of Alytus for Culture and Education. In 1995 - elected deputy to the Council of the city of Alytus, was deputy mayor. Headed the Department of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives ) of Alytus for three years. At present does doctoral studies at the Institute of the International relations and Political Sciences of Vilnius University. Speaks French and Russian languages. Divorced. Has two sons. Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with France. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Italy. Member o f the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with North European Countries (Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden). Member of Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
