Biography

Born on 1 July 1956 in Kėdainiai region.

Graduated from A. Domaševičiaus Medical school in Panevėžys, worked at the Central Hospital of Pasvalys region.

In 1975-1977 served in the Soviet Army.

In 1981-1987 studied at Kaunas Medical Institute (currently - the Medical University). Having graduated from it returned to work to Pasvalys.

In 1992 - appointed chief physician of Pasvalys central Hospital.

In 1991-1995 - Chairman of the Council of Pasvalys town.

Member of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives)

Speaks English and Russian languages.

Married. Wife Nijolė is a physician. The family has three sons.

Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union.

Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the Czech Republic.

Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Canada.

Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with France.

Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with North European Countries (Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden).

Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the Ukraine.
