Biography
Born on 8 March 1962, in Šakiai region into a family of farmers.
In 1980 finished Šakiai secondary school. In 1980-1985 - studied at the Department of Philology of Vilnius University. In 1985 - worked as a teacher at the Department of the Lithuanian language of Vilnius University. Was a post-graduate student. In 1991 - Doctor of humanitarian Sciences. In 1995 - docent, published scientific and popular science articles in Lithuanian and foreign press. Edited TV programme Moki žodį - žinai kelią. Member of the Board of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives). Speaks Russian and German languages. Married. Has a daughter. Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union. Member of the Parliamentary Relations Group of Lithuania and the Republic of Austria. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Japan. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Kuwait. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Canada. Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the USA.
