Biography

Born on 26 March 1943 in Šilalės region.

In 1961 graduated from Vilnius electromechanical college.

In 1977 - graduated from Vilnius Engineering Construction Institute (currently - Gediminas Technical University), as an engineer economist. Headed the Private Company "Alsa construction."

Takes interest in the implementation of energy conservation programme, insulation of buildings, new construction technologies and materials. Likes fishing, shooting, sports and theatre.

Member of the Interparliamentary organisation of environmental protection GLOBUS EU.

Devotes much time to the media and political sciences.

Member of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives) since its establishment.

Deputy chairman of the Co-ordination Council of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives)in Vilnius country.

Speaks English, Russian and Polish languages.

Married. Has a son.

Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union.

Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations between Lithuania and the Republic of Austria.
