On the Assembly of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The decision was made to set up the Assembly of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in March 2003 in order to highlight the aspiration to strengthen the inter-parliamentary relations between Lithuania and Ukraine and address the need for considering topical matters in the area of international relations.

In Kyiv on 1 October 2003, the first, and so far the only, session of the Assembly adopted a statement and approved the Assembly’s Rules of Procedure.
