In 1949-1952 - teacher of Kaunas School of cinema mechanics.

In 1952-1958 - designer, head of the department at Klaipėda Fishing fleet.

In 1958-1971 - head of Klaipėda Problem Laboratory of Electric Fishing.

In 1971 - chief engineer of Kaliningrad Industrial Fishing Production Amalgamation of Klaipėda branch.

In 1985 - docent of Klaipėda Department of Kaunas Polytechnic Institute, head of the department. Participated in a number of marital expeditions.

Author (co-author) or a monograph, 30 inventions, over 100 scientific articles on ocean fishing, navy policy, issues of economics.

In 1988 - participant of the reform movement of Klaipėda.

In 1990-1992 - deputy of the Supreme Council - the Reconstituent Seimas.

In 1992-1996 - member of the Seimas.

Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee.

Former member of the Council of the Independent Party.

Since 1993 - member of the homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives).

Speaks English and Russian.

Married, wife Aniceta, son - Ričardas.

Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union.
