1980 - graduated from Kaunas Institute of Medicine (currently -Medical University), 1981 - a traumatologist at the central Hospital of the city of Utena.

1984-1985 - Deputy Chief Physician.

1990-1995 deputy of the Council of Mažeikiai region, Deputy Chairman of the Council.

1995-1996 - the Mayor of the city of Mažeikiai.

Takes a specialised course in social work at Vilnius University. Member of the Lithuanian Association of Social Workers.

Takes interest in the situation of the Mass media, participate in political debates.

Speaks German and Russian languages.

Married, has three sons, a daughter and a stepdaughter.
