Finished Druskininkai secondary school.

In 1976 worked as a communications operator at Druskininkai radio and television Retranslating Station.

In 1981 - graduated from Vilnius University as a journalist. Started teaching radio at the Department of Journalism.

In 1985 - edited radio broadcasts at Vilnius Radio Components Plant (currently - Joint-stock Company Vilniaus "Vingis").

In 1984-1988 - a supernumerary correspondent of Vilnius radio broadcasts to foreign countries.

In 1989 established the first independent radio station "M-1".

In 1999 - established "Radiocentras".Was editor-in-chief of both radio stations. Head of Vilniaus editorial office of "Kaunas Plius" television (1995).

Member of the Board of the Lithuanian Society of Journalists. Advisor of the Lithuanian Radio and Television Association, member of the Lithuanian-Indian Society.

Head of the central election headquarters of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives). In 1996 the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives) won the elections to the Seimas.

In 1997 - headed the election headquarters of Chairman of the Seimas Prof. Vytauta Landsbergis, a candidate to the post of the President of the Republic of Lithuania. Was Minister of Communications and Informatics of the eight Government (XXIX).

Radio amateur. Writes articles.

In 1998 wrote a books on the history of radio jamming.

Member of the Board of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives) and its Deputy chairman since 1996.

Speaks Russian and English languages.

Married. Has two children.

Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union.

Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the USA.
