Finished Šeduva Secondary School, became a turner. In 1989 graduated from Vilnius Pedagogical Institute (currently - Pedagogical Institute) as a teacher of history. In 1989 - a teacher at Baisiogala secondary school. In the summers of 1992-1996 worked in the field of archaeology in the park of Archaeology of Europe in France.
Elected member of the Municipal Council of Radviliškis region in 1995. Worked and Deputy Mayor of Radviliškis region.
Member of the Lithuanian Teacher's Association. Chairman of UNESCO Lithuanian National Commission.
Took part in the activities of the Lithuanian reform Movement "Sąjūdis".
In 1989-1990 a member of the CPSU. Currently - a member of the homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives).
Takes interest in politology and Municipal activities.
Speaks French and Russian.
Married. His wife Daiva is a teacher of the Lithuanian language, the family has two daughters - Justina and Milda.
