Finished secondary school in Kretinga. Graduated from Kaunas Academy of Agriculture (currently - the University of Agriculture). In 1990-1994 worked as a junior research worker at Vėžaičiai branch of the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture. In 1995 was Deputy Mayor of Kretinga region.

A member of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives).

Speaks English and Russian.

Married. Her husband works at Joint-stock Company "Pemco packers." The family has a son.
