Born on 23 February 1937 in Klaipėda.

In 1943-1951 - went to Vincas Kudirka primary school and secondary school No. IV.

In 155 - graduated from Kaunas Polytechnic College.

In 1968-1971 - worked in Kaunas Construction II management as a foreman.

In 1971-1975 - chief engineer at the Institute of Butter and Cheese of the Lithuanian Branch.

In 1975-1986 - worker of the fire-prevention at the Lithuanian Open Museum of Country life.

In 1990-1993 - head of the Arms section "Vytis" of the National Defence Department.

Former member of the anti-Soviet underground organisation "Geležinis vilkas' ('The Iron Wolf'). In 1956 - imprisoned for anti-Soviet activity.

Awarded 13 January medal (1996), the Medal of the Volunteer.

Member of the Council of the Lithuanian Union of Political Prisoners and Deportees. Chairman of the Board of the Lithuanian Volunteers. Member of the Lithuanian-Kuwait society.

Member of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives).

Folk artist. Participant of many folk art exhibitions, one-man shows in Kaunas, Vilnius.

Speaks English and Russian.

Married. Has a daughter and a son.
