In 1980-1985- studied at the department of Economics of the Lithuanian Academy of Agriculture (currently - the University of Agriculture). Acquired the qualification of an economist. Worked at the Department of Food of the Institute of Planning of National Economy and Economics. After that institution was reorganised into the Institute of Economics and Privatisation, worked at the Department of Transforming Property relations as a research worker. Later - did doctoral studies at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Society of Businessmen and managers.
Member of the Lithuanian Centre Union.
Speaks English and Russian.
Married. Has a son.
Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union.
Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with the Republic of Greece and Cyprus.
Member of the Parliamentary Group for the Relations with Tibet.
