1967-1971 - worked as a navigator in Klaipėda Fishery Navy, as an engineer at Klaipėda Port.
1972-1995 - a teacher of physics, mathematics, astronomy and drawing at a secondary school in Biržai region.
1995-1997 - the Mayor of Biržai Self-government.
Since 1997 - a teacher of Biržai secondary school "Saulė".
In the Environmental Protection Committee concerns himself with air and water protection against pollutants, studies the problems of self-governments and education. In the past was an active amateur artist, coach in radio ports. Takes interest in rural culture and promotion of non-traditional sports.
Member of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives) since its establishment.
Speaks Russian.
Wife Valerija is a teacher of mathematics. Son Tomas is a pupil and daughter Jurga is a student.
Member of the Seimas Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union.
