Born and raised in Vilnius, Kernagis got married and raised his sons Nojus and Kristijonas there. He is convinced that Vilnius is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a colourful and rich history. Kernagis is an information technology specialist with an extensive experience in culture management and youth work and founder of Vytautas Kernagis Support and Charity Foundation. He believes that a commitment to public interest and helping others is essential for effective policymaking. This involves a continuous concern for the well-being of those around him, including family, neighbours, and members of the local community. Much depends on our own engagement and on genuine renewal in political life. The new generation must take responsibility and deliver on creative modernisation of the state, Kernagis believes. As member of the Committee on Culture of the Seimas, he regularly invites everyone to engage in a dialogue on culture and all other relevant matters, as he believes in a strong and creative Lithuania. | |
