In 1962 - a lab assistant at Vilnius University, head of the Computation Laboratory, head of the Computer Centre, senior lecturer.
A member of the Board of the Lithuanian Catholic Academy. in 1990-1992 - the Government’s advisor on the issues of the Catholic Church and other confessions.
Since 1992 - a member of the Seimas. A member of the Board of the Lithuanian Christian Democratic Party, deputy head of the Board.
Speaks English and Russian.
Wife Valerija is Doctor of Social Sciences. The family has two daughters - Rasa and Sigita.
