Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Sweden on Swedish Flag Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, has extended her congratulations to the Riksdag (Parliament) of the Kingdom of Sweden on Swedish Flag Day, a Swedish national holiday. In her letter of congratulations to Andreas Norlén, Speaker of the Riksdag, she has wished the Swedish Parliament smooth and consistent work that builds the welfare of the people of Sweden.

Taking the opportunity, the Speaker of the Seimas has taken note of the solid partnership between Sweden and Lithuania and their dynamic cooperation that is complemented by close parliamentary dialogue.

‘At both bilateral and regional levels, we are making every effort to defend the values of democracy and make sure that the people of our countries feel safe. I am confident that we will continue strengthening bilateral and regional cooperation, and we will keep speaking in multilateral formats with one voice, making us better heard,’ reads the letter of congratulations.
