Speaker of the Seimas congratulates the re-elected President of the Hellenic Parliament

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, has congratulated Konstantinos Anastasiou Tasoulas on his re-election as President of the Hellenic Parliament. In addition to conveying her wishes of unity and success to the Hellenic Parliament in fulfilling the expectations of the people of the country, the Speaker of the Seimas also took note that Lithuania highly appreciated its partnership with Greece in the European Union and NATO as well as the bilateral dialogue and cooperation between the two countries in other international formats.

‘I believe that the Parliaments of Lithuania and Greece, while upholding democratic values and addressing today’s challenges, will continue to strengthen our mutual solidarity and development of cooperation between our countries,’ Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen noted.
