Saulius Skvernelis, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulates Finland on Independence Day

Saulius Skvernelis, Speaker of the Seimas, has congratulated the Finnish Eduskunta and Jussi Halla-aho, Speaker of the Eduskunta, on Finland’s Independence Day.

‘The value of independence can truly be appreciated in the face of today’s challenges. Let me, therefore, wish the Eduskunta every success in its daily work in building a secure and prosperous future for the Finnish people,’ the congratulatory letter reads.

Alongside his congratulations to Finland on a national holiday, the Speaker of the Seimas gave an assurance that the 14th Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania was ready to continue the close parliamentary cooperation between Lithuania and Finland both in strengthening bilateral relations and in joining efforts to defend the values of democracy and human rights in the international arena.
