The Speaker of the Seimas congratulated the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly

Saulius Skvernelis, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Nataliya Vasileva Kiselova, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, on assuming her position and extended the wishes for every success in overcoming the emerging challenges and in building, together with Bulgarian citizens, the prosperity of the country. 

‘I am convinced that the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania will further strengthen their parliamentary cooperation, thereby promoting the development of relations between our countries and contributing to the unity of the EU Member States and the reinforcement of NATO. At these times fraught with global challenges and tensions, when democracy, the principles of human rights and freedoms, and rules-based international order are under threat, I would like to express my satisfaction that Bulgaria has been providing Ukraine with comprehensive humanitarian and military assistance since the very onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion into Ukraine,’ Mr Skvernelis wrote in his letter of congratulations.
