Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Moldova on the 30th anniversary of its independence

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Igor Grosu, President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, and all the people of the country on the 30th anniversary of independence of Moldova and extended her wishes of prosperity and success.

‘The expectations of Moldovan people and their trust in the future of the country must be lived up to. We strongly support your state in its aspiration to bring Moldova closer to the European Union and in its endeavours to create a democratic future for the country,’ the congratulatory letter by the Speaker reads.
