Speaker of the Seimas invites everyone to celebrate the Day of Baltic Unity

Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, invites everyone to celebrate the Day of Baltic Unity on 22 September 2021.

‘Together with Latvia, we celebrate the Day of Baltic Unity, which marks the victory in the Battle of Šiauliai. The victory achieved at the time still continues to serve as a source of inspiration today. Together, focused and united, we can overcome the current challenges. Moreover, by working closely together, we can achieve more than by acting alone. As I commend the partnership between the Parliaments of Lithuania and Latvia and welcome the friendly relations between the people of our countries, I look forward for our ties to continue growing stronger in future,’ says the Speaker of the Seimas.

On 25 September, the Speaker of the Seimas will participate in the celebration of the Day of Baltic Unity in Kuldīga, Latvia.
