Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Spain on its National Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Ander Gil García, Speaker of the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain, Meritxell Batet Lamaña, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain, and the people of the country on National Day.

‘This historic day, when Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492, reminds all of us once again that the hope and courage to face the challenges has always been our strongest weapon leading to the accomplishment of our goals. We also need hope and courage today when we face new challenges that transform our lives. I therefore wish you hope and courage in tackling everyday issues and creating a better life for your people and a brighter future for the country,’ wrote the Speaker of the Seimas in her letter of congratulations.
