Today, a strong partnership between the Czech Republic and Lithuania is vital in addressing the key issues on the European and international agenda. Apart from being needed by each other, we are also needed by Ukraine which is suffering from the devastation of the war waged by Russia,’ the congratulatory letters read.

The Speaker of the Seimas also hoped that the Czech Republic would successfully complete its Presidency of the Council of the EU.
