Speaker of the Seimas congratulates Türkiye on Republic Day

On behalf of the Seimas and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye on Republic Day. In her letter to Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, she extended the wishes of smooth and constructive work for the wellbeing of all Turkish people.

‘Faced with today’s challenges, we are too well aware of the importance of close cooperation. Therefore, we will make every effort to strengthen the parliamentary cooperation between Türkiye and Lithuania so that we jointly contribute, at all levels, both bilaterally and multilaterally, to the restoration of international stability based on respect for international law and democracy,’ stressed Ms Čmilytė-Nielsen in her letter of congratulations.
