Viktoras Pranckietis, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Ukraine on Independence Day

On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on his own behalf, Viktoras Pranckietis, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated Ukraine and its people on Independence Day.
The Speaker welcomed Ukraine’s determination to shape its future in line with European values and defend this right against the external aggression.
“It is my wish and hope that the people of your country continue to consistently build an open, democratic and modern state and seek closer relations with the European Union. Meanwhile, we are willing to make all efforts to assist you in these endeavours,“ wrote the Speaker in his congratulatory letter.
The Speaker of the Seimas extended to Andriy Parubiy, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the wishes of success and great resolve in ensuring the wellbeing and security of his country and the wishes of unity and prosperity to the entire Ukraine.
