Speaker of the Seimas congratulated the Speaker of the Latvian Saeima on her re-election

On 6 November 2018, the Latvian parliament re-elected, by secret ballot, Ināra Mūrniece as Speaker of the Saeima for the second term in office. Viktoras Pranckietis, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated her on re-election.  

While congratulating his Latvian counterpart, the Speaker of the Seimas said that “the re-election of Ināra Mūrniece attests to the fact that she is a recognised personality. During the last two years, a close relationship has been established with the Speaker of the Saeima and our colleagues from Latvia, which, I believe, will bring good and constructive results in inter-parliamentary cooperation and other political formats. I wish her success and perseverance as she continues the work that has already been started.”
