Speaker of the Seimas congratulates the Estonian people on the Day of Restoration of Independence

Viktoras Pranckietis, Speaker of the Seimas, has congratulated Estonia on the Day of Restoration of Independence. While addressing Henn Põlluaas, President of the Riigikogu of the Republic of Estonia, Viktoras Pranckietis extended the wishes of every success and meaningful work to the Riigikogu and prosperity to the Estonian people.

‘The repression of the Soviet Union against the Estonian people did not break them down and did not stifle the idea of freedom and desire to live in an independent country. As we are approaching the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way, let us recall that sense of solidarity and continue to base the relations among our states on it now in the face of current challenges,’ reads the congratulatory letter of the Speaker of the Seimas.
