Visitor Centre of the Seimas

Works of Art in the Grand Courtyard

At the main entrance, the sculpture Gražina (bronze, stone, 1991), created by sculptor Prof. Daliutė Ona Matulaitė, meets the visitors’ eye.

The exterior of the Grand Courtyard of the Seimas is decorated with two monumental bronze bas-reliefs, Disputas (Dispute) and Kelias (The Way) (1979–1981, 5,6 x 4,3 m) by sculptor Steponas Šarapovas. They are the largest bas-reliefs created in Lithuania so far.  Šarapovas died before the bas-reliefs were completed. After his death, sculptor Dovydas Zundelovičius finalised the work.
